Chapin Smith supports the Loss Prevention Department in the production of programs, guidance, and resources for members. He ensures the members are provided with the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
Chapin’s responsibilities include managing data, assisting with the configuration of digital reports and dashboards, maintaining the Loss Prevention legal resources, assisting with law firm reviews, and providing legal research support for the department’s publications. He also coordinates with other departments on special projects, particularly those relating to data management.
Prior to joining ALAS, Chapin was a Reference Attorney at Thomson Reuters in the Twin Cities where he collaborated with legal practitioners using Thomson Reuters online platforms to analyze complex legal issues and determine best resources and research strategies.
