In Memoriam

We are saddened by the passing of Roger Warin, who died peacefully on October 21, 2026.  Roger was a beloved member of the ALAS family and served on the ALAS Board of Directors from 2008 to 2019.  He chaired the Nominating, Compensation, and Governance Committee and later served as Chair of the Boards of ALAS Ltd. and ALAS, Inc. from 2014–2016.  As Chair, Roger helped guide the company through a senior management transition and the implementation of a new investment policy.  He continued his Board leadership as Vice Chair until 2018, helping to further guide ALAS’s strategic planning.  Roger also was an original member of ALAS’s Managing Partner Advisory Committee and was instrumental in developing programs for leaders of ALAS firms for more than a decade. 

While we will miss Roger’s intelligence, experience, and common-sense approach to problem-solving, we will equally miss his enthusiasm, curiosity, laughter, and friendship.

ALAS 2026 Annual General Meeting
